360Philly virtual tours are photographed using a dSLR camera, on a tripod with a rotating head. The images are stitched into a seemless panorama, which is then mapped to a sphere by software.
When viewing the tours you can use your mouse to look around the space, as if you were standing in the spot we were when we took the photos!
Mark Henninger has been shooting panoramas and creating virtual tours since the advent of the technology, in the late 1990's. Since then, he has honed his technique to shoot 360° tours ever faster and better.
When Mark and Danya Henninger moved Philadelphia, they were inspired by the beauty, diversity and history of the city, and decided to begin documenting the special spaces and places around town.
